Calorie counts per dish
by AiDenBoks (Pasig) | Posted on 08/09/2013 5:44 am | |
Hi! I know the meal customization has this but not specifically for the dishes esp the recipes here. It will make the substitutions easier. I work nights and usually out of the house most of the time, knowing that I have a calorie cap of say 1,400 per day, it will be so much easier to plan meals especially when meal options are mostly from eating out-fastfood, groceries, restaurants. Thank you for your patience! ;) |

@Belle: Kenny Rogers is OK, but you don't have to limit yourself there every time. :) You can go to other places with healthy options, like Pancake House.

Every saturday and sunday i have no choice but to eat in a restaurant. I will always choose kenny rogers because they have low calorie meal. Is it ok?

@victoriacastillo: Haha I agree that you have limited choices at ministop. We must hold our horses on the kariman. What I can suggest there is the stuffed pandesal, sandwiches, a few of their rice meals (not fried please, maybe give me a few examples?), a cup of yogurt and a fresh banana or apple if there's any :)

When I went to Mini-Stop naman, it seemed like everything was fried. :( At my old job, I would have the kariman, only to find out it's about 600-700 calories! Yikes! Tapos mahilig pa ako sa iced tea noon. So that's an automatic 700-800 calories for lunch alone.
When I had no choice but Mini-Stop recently, I just ended up getting a siopao. Lesser evil. :(

@ AiDenBoks: To add to Victoria's suggestions, I usually find good choices at 7-11, believe it or not. You can buy a sandwich or a wrap there, plus a serving of salad, voila, you have a Bon Appetit Diet approved Express meal :)
Also try to meet your diet halfway and adapt to it by bringing a packed lunch. On some days, packed lunch, and really busy days, eat out. You can choose a few of our recipes here that can be easy for you to cook. Small changes by lessening eating out goes a long way when it comes to weight loss.

Andoks/Baliwag
- 1/4 chicken with rice, or liempo with the fat/skin trimmed off...not sure if they also serve vegetables, but I hope they do
Burger King
- Whopper Jr., no mayo, bottled water, small fries (but better without)
Coffee Bean
- Greek salad or salami sandwich
Army Navy
- Tacos
Chowking/North Park
- Steamed dumplings
- Skip fried rice and noodles
- Steamed vegetables (don't use all the bagoong at Chowking)
Kitaro
- Teppanyaki with vegetables
- Be careful with sushi rolls, unless you'll eat an order as a complete meal
Shakey's/Jollibee
- Sorry, I can't think of a safe meal for these. Proceed with caution. :D
Starbucks
- Already covered by Charmaine in her blog
Nagutom tuloy ako. :D

I usually eat where it's 24 hours open.
So the after work food options will include:
Andoks, Baliwag, Mcdo, Jollibee, Burger King, Chowking, Army Navy, Shakey's, North Park, Kitaro, Coffee Bean, Starbucks, Jayjay's, etc.
For days that I get tired with these food choices and am not that hungry, I eat Nestle fruit yoghurt 0% fat with about 7-8 raw almonds or walnuts and drink chamomile lemon tea for my last meal.

Hi Jihan, you can use the Personal Questions tool to ask our dietitian if you can switch to a lower calorie/day meal plan. :-q
