Breastfeeding and Dieting

I just wanted to post something about this since I think this is one of the concerns of many moms out there. Practicing a healthy lifestyle and losing weight should not be hindered just because you're breastfeeding. With the proper food and number of daily calories fit for you, you can still lose weight. They also say that breastfeeding helps a lot in losing the baby fat. It's been a misconception by many because they end up eating more while breastfeeding. Yes, it does burn extra calories but it doesn't mean you have to binge as this will still lead you to gaining weight eventually. I made that mistake that's why I joined this program even if I'm on an extended breastfeeding with my 1 1/2 daughter. I want to have a healthier lifestyle and lose weight, while still giving the right nutrition for my toddler. :)

@ mnm11 : You're absolutely right. You should take care of your own health, as well as that of your baby while breastfeeding. If you have any concerns about following the diet during the Bon Appétit Diet, feel free to reach out to Charmaine using the Personal Questions tool. :-q
