Hello,

Welcome to the Bon Appétit Diet! My name is Gisa, and I am your community manager.

This forum thread is for everyone starting the program this coming Monday, 03/09/2012. In this forum I would like to hear from each of you as you first introduce yourself to the group and tell us more about your goals. This is also a really good way for you to meet new friends and to support one another when you feel like you’re moving slightly off course.

Now in order for you to succeed, I would like you to do three (3) simple things. This should only take 5 minutes of your day. To make a lifetime commitment to your well-being, please:

1. Read your session for the day AND watch the video of the coach
2. Ask a question to the team of dietitians (click on "Tools" in the left column, and then "Personal Questions")
3. Take the time to refer to your shopping list and meal plans.

Finally, if you have any questions about the website, you can always call us at (02) 491 7676 Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm.

I'm glad I was able to survive day 1 of the first week. :) I hope and pray that I will be able to finish the program and be a part of my lifestyle as I grow old..

@ lhma1972: Congrats on the 3 lbs + inches lost! Remember that the 900 kcal meal plans are only recommended for special cases like weight gain or weight plateau. Since you are off with a good start last week, I suggest that you stick with 1200 kcal instead of 900. I'm hoping for the best on your journey to being healthy!

Im glad i lost 3 pounds on my first week and some inches to my waist and hips. I hope i measured it right. Now i decided to start my 2nd week by having the 900 calories meal. The diet program motivated me well and keep watching my food intake no matter where i am. Thanks to these diet program. I wish i could reach my goal. Im not taking my bp medication bcoz it become normal though my sugar level is still on d higher side but i know within this week it will become normal due to change of meal plan.

@ lhma1972: These can actually be a part of your diet! You can have a glass (5 oz) of red wine, but substitute it with 1 serving of fruit. For a light beer, 1 bottle should be substituted with 1/2 cup of rice or 2 slices of bread. Alcoholic drinks should be consumed in moderation.
