Success or not?

by mamu-g (Las Pinas) Posted on 11/23/2012 8:59 am

I have 5 more pounds to go before I reach my target weight of 110lbs. But the thing is I kind of have been stuck at this weight for quite sometime. I know though why, its because I have not been following religiously the meal plans. I have been substituting though and I do choose what I eat very carefully. I can say that I have learned the ways of healthy food preparation that even if I don't stick with the recipes I know that the food I've prepared is healthy. I don't feel bad or disappointed at all to be stuck at this weight and actually have been contemplating whether 110lbs isn't or shouldn't be my target weight. A lot of people I know have been telling me I lost much weight already and that I look so payat. My husband for one is actually prohibiting me from anymore dieting saying that I might be overdoing it. I guess that's why I'm "stuck" here. Personally, I'm not satisfied because I haven't reached my target figure yet! I know its because I am not consistent with exercise. I'm thinking now that if I concentrate on toning my problem areas and just maintaining my current eating habits that maybe I'd get my dream figure without having to lose the last 5 pounds? Overall, I'm just happy that now I get to enjoy shopping for clothes again with a much larger variety of choices to choose from :D. I still "stray" from time to time with my greatest weakness - SWEETS, but now I know how to recover from it. To all those who are just about to begin with their weight loss journey, I'm telling you IT WORKS as long as you do you part. GOOD LUCK and may you all reach your dreams!

Hi emily,

I'm glad I chanced upon the BAD forum today (as the team is quite busy with the US adaptation of the Bon Appetit Diet, aptly named The Parisian Diet) and see you active in the forum again, but then it made me sad that your comment is about goodbye :(

You are one of the most active and most successful clients we had on the Bon Appetit Diet. Congratulations on the well-deserved 21 lbs. you have lost! I am confident that all you have learned in this program will be permanently part of your lifestyle.

Keep up the discipline, motivation and the positive attitude, Ms. Emily! In behalf of Laarni, Gisa, and the rest of the BelleToday team, we are very proud of you!

Hello everyone. I had been in the BAD program for 6 months and same will be ended today. I decided not to renew my program with BAD but the tips and knowledge I learned and gained, will continue to be part of my daily life. It's just that I want to learn and practice them by myself especially customizing my meal with the right food measurement. 21 lbs loss is a big deal for me and it helped to bring back my confidence that I can still be leaner and healthier as well. And I promise to myself that it will not end just like that. It will be slowly, surely and forever. Yes, I need to practice more on consistency and constancy on my goal to reach its perfection (135-140 lbs target weight) and I will not stop aiming to success. For now, I would like to thank Dr. Cohen, BAD experts Ms. Laarni, Ms. Charmainne, Gisa, and friends, though we haven't seen each other, I am so grateful knowing you all and sharing your wisdom on health awareness. Rest assured that all you have coached and imparted on me will not wasted. Thank you very much. God bless you all more and more....

Definitely a SUCESS!

Sure, weight is a measure of our progress with the diet, but the scale should not dictate how we feel about ourselves. I am glad that you are happy overall with your improved body and eating habits. You have really come a long way mamu-g!

Keep your motivation high! :D

Hi Mamu-g!

Congratulations on your achievements. Why not post a before and after photo or at least upload a profile pic? That would be nice! :-q

By the way, for me it is indeed a SUCCESS!

Ideal weight is different from reasonable healthy weight which you already achieved. Stay motivated! :)
