Recommend a Product

Any healthy supermarket products you'd like to recommend to your fellow Bon Appétit Diet members? :)

I'll start with Lily's peanut butter! I don't like Nutella or cookie butter as much as peanut butter! And while I occasionally enjoy US brands like Peter Pan, Skippy, etc, I still think the best peanut butter is our very own Lily's! There are no hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup, unlike in US brands...it's just cane sugar, peanuts, and salt! It's OK to mix the oil that gets separated at the top, just as long as you don't eat more than 1 tablespoon per meal. :)

@Charmaineanne, we bought it at the food festival a couple of weeks ago in Megamall. The juice is pretty expensive but a scoop can actually be diluted in a liter of water. Matamis sya eh. I still haven't gotten over the stevia aftertaste though. It has a weird parang bitter aftertaste that I also taste when I drink Coke lite. Anyway, the guy who sold it to us gave us flyers. Their ofc is in Pearl Plaza Bldg in Ortigas. Their website is www.mybiginc.com. I got the tub for Php999.00.

@ AiDenBoks: Where did you buy this product? Based on the ingredients list, it seems pretty good. This is a good product to have for calcium-fortified vegetable juice called for clients who need a dairy substitute.

Another product that's good to fill in the fiber and calcium gap is wheatgrass :)

Ahm...there have been times when I'm just really super tired from work and I need to take a quick shortcut to eating my veggies. So I need to ask charmaineanne and sharonfaith on this veggie juice my hubby and I got.

@ Rudyennamd: If you have cornick, you can only have a few (not more than 1/4 cup) because it's fried. And then just make the adjustment to lessen your rice in the day.
Popcorn is fine, as long as you get a hot-air popper. I have one. 3 cups of popped popcorn for only 30 calories. :-q (If I put butter, I only use 1 teaspoon to help truffle salt stick.)
