How do you manage stress?

by gisaparedes (Quezon City) Posted on 08/08/2012 9:08 am

We all cope with stress differently. But do we know our triggers and the respective patterns that follow after this?

How do you cope with the stress in your life? Can you name aspects / areas in your life that are stressful? How do you balance your roles and responsibilities?

Let's talk about it

As I mentioned in my journal, stress is one of my biggest triggers for unhealthy eating. Right now I'm still making a huge conscious effort to stop reaching for food or skipping meals when something stressful happens, like a disagreement in the family, getting angry at work, or like recently, a series of sleepless worknights.

Generally, my stress management depends on what's causing it. Whenever possible I attack the problem head-on. It's those times when I can't address it directly is what makes it difficult, because anger and frustration will always seek another outlet, even if it means displacing emotions the wrong way. :^>
