Are you consuming the right amount of bread according to your meal plan? In your meal plan, 1 portion starch = 1/2 cup rice or 2 slices white bread or 3 pieces small pandesal However, since we have different varieties/sizes of pandesal and sliced bread in the market nowadays, I think there's a need to clarify the amount that you should use for 1 portion of starch. Here's a start. 1 portion of starch is equivalent to: 3 pieces pandesal (worth 2 pesos each at a local bakery) 1 piece (35 grams) Gardenia Pandesal 1 piece (large) Pan de Manila Pandesal 1-2 slices Gardenia sliced bread (white/wheat) 1-2 slices Julie's Bakery sliced bread Can you share what brand of bread you're using? |
