Substitute for egg white
by Catmela (Quezon City) | Posted on 08/08/2014 8:53 am | |
Hi! some of the meals call for egg white, including the recovery meals. But pure egg white generally makes me vomit because of the smell. (So far the only egg white-based food I can take is meringue, which of course is off-limits, haha). Is there anything I can sub for it? Could I reduce the amount of egg white and replace it with one egg yolk instead? Thanks! :) |

You can use 2 egg whites and 1 egg yolk beaten together to make an omelet or scrambled eggs for the recovery meal or for dishes that call for egg whites. You may also replace it with other protein source like chicken, fish or seafood.
