Changing our habits

A habit is something we tend to do automatically and we do so because we don't want to have to think. It's a good break actually, and sometimes we find ourselves repeating a habit because it simply comforts us. What are some of the habits you've had to change on The Bon Appetit Diet? And how long did it take you to make it one with your routine? Did you have any trouble changing these habits? How so? |

Since I started my diet program with Dr. Cohen I have develop this habit. I found my partner in my meals :-q its my pal the cucumber! I started to love cucumber when I tried the dice cucumber with homemade vinaigrette after that meal I always find ways to put dice/slice cucumber in my meal specially if the vege in the dish doesnt fit my tastebuds.. I eat it in my breakfast, lunch, and dinner even without sauces or dips I eat it raw. :D

3 habits that I developed, while getting used to creating meal plans and recipes for the Bon Appetit Diet
1. I never ate more than 1 cup of rice in a meal. My usual rice serving is between 1/2 cup-1 cup. I get so full already if I exceed this amount.
2. When there's a chance and resource, I usually have milk, yogurt and soy milk for breakfast or as a snack. I get more excited to the idea of frozen yogurt instead of ice cream.
3. I make it a point to cook vegetables and include vegetables in my meals. This has become a problem especially since I'm the only one in the family who appreciates veggies. Because of it, they just wilt in the fridge because nobody aside from me eats them. I learned to buy fresh veggies in small portions, so I always have them fresh.
