weight loss: 900 kcal meal plan

by laarni (Calamba), Team Member Posted on 03/21/2012 2:40 pm

Hi All!

We have been receiving a lot of concerns regarding the 900 kcal meal plans so I want to ask everyone the following questions:

Have you tried following the 900 kcal meals?
How many days did you follow it?
How do you feel about it?
How does it affect your overall diet?
Is it still satisfying without the carbs?

Is it good to have 900 kcal good for 2 days every 2 weeks? Even if i'm still losing weight? Thanks....

Eating corn rice at the same amount with the white rice is just the same calorie count? Sometimes i eat corn rice as substitute with the white rice.... i believe it is not written in the food equivalents.... thanks

@ heyminoy: Hey, don't be afraid of eating rice! You may be getting weak because you are following the 900 kcal meal plans for a longer time than recommended

Please follow the 1200 kcal regularly. Remember that the 900 kcal meal plans should only be followed for 2 days if you did not lose weight or if you gained weight.

Never let yourself feel too weak before you eat. Eat regularly at 4 hr intervals. If you are not really fond of eating rice, you may take out your rice for dinner and replace it with more vegetables.

Hi. After the initial evaluation, the program i was given was the 1200 kcal meal plan. However, i shifted to the 900kcal meal plan as i am not into rice that much. Is it okay to eat rice at times when i feel getting weak? But i am happy to note that i already lost a few pounds in a span of less than two weeks. My friends and officemates are starting to notice the difference. Thanks for BAD! I don't imagine myself going back to the regular "sinful" diet i used to follow.

you can try out pasnips @lhma1972 if you can find that in Dubai. For other vegetables that you could substitute singkamas with, go to Tools > Bonus > List of Food Equivalences

Indeed! My sugar level is become normal with the 900 calorie meal plan from yesterday thats why i am happy. Im not seeing any problem following the program despite that im not having rice because my doctor advise also to less down from carbohydrates. What can i substitute to singkamas, its not availble here in dubai. Thanks for your prompt reply.

@ lhma1972: Your blood sugar levels will definitely improve with the Bon Appetit Diet. Please take note that the 900 kcal meal plans should not be followed for longer than 2 days as it won't sufficiently meet your daily nutritional needs. You still need carbs in the right amount. Following the 1200 kcal meal plans will be enough.

Im starting my 900 calories today, i feel much better than having the 1400 calories. i dont require much carb on my food bcoz im having high sugar level. I want to stay fit and healthy without taking my medication by eating the right food. So is it okay for me to continue with the 900 calories?
